The Toro table lamp is our first design to combine both wood and printed parts. The design and name take inspiration from traditional Japanese stone light towers used to illuminate paths and religious ceremonies. Our hope with this design is to make any corner of your home feel like a peaceful place to unwind and relax.

Each of the dowels used to manufacture the Toro is made with hand cut solid oak and sanded to ensure a smooth finish.

Material

The lamp shade is 3D printed with Polylactic Acid (PLA). PLA is a sturdy material derived from renewable resources, such as corn, sugar cane, and sugar beet.

FAQ

Can I replace the light bulb?

Yes, you can use any LED bulb in the lamp. You can follow the instruction below to replace the bulb:

  1. Unplug the lamp. Unscrew and remove the top cover.
  2. Install the new light bulb. Use LED bulbs ONLY as incandescent bulbs will melt the shade. We recommend using a 40 or 60 watt equivalent, 2200k-2700k LED bulb for a warm ambience.
  3. Place the cover through the dowels. Align the holes on the cover and the dowels, and screw the top cover back.

Can I use a smart LED bulb?

Our lamps and cables can be used with Philips Hue and LIFX smart bulbs. To use a smart LED bulb, please leave the dimmer at the highest setting and control the bulb with its app. If you have any questions regarding bulbs, please email us at info@terralabs.design.

Is the lamp cordless?

The light is not cordless. Corded lights are less prone to malfunction compared to cordless lights, which may encounter issues with battery life, charging, or connectivity over time.

How long is the cable?

The cable is 6 feet long with the dimmer switch about 1 feet from the plug.

Love my lamp! It takes a standard sized bulb too, so I was able to easily integrate it into my smart lighting system. The quality of the lamp seems nice and actually worth the price I paid.
