The Simple Little Upgrades We Made To Terra Labs Lamps
Posted by Terra Labs posted on November 27, 2025
You should always have the best experience with our lamps. That is the whole point.
This year we spent a lot of time listening. Reading reviews, opening every email, and paying attention when someone said, “This is small, but…”
Those small things add up. So we made a few simple changes that make your lamp easier and nicer to live with.
Here is what we updated.
1. The Angled Plug
You know when a plug sticks out behind your couch or nightstand so you cannot push the furniture all the way back? I have had that happen and it is annoying every single time.
So we changed it.
Our lamps now use a 90 degree angled plug that sits flatter against the wall. That means:
Furniture can sit closer to the wall
Less stress and bending on the cable
A cleaner look around your outlet
It is not a flashy feature, it just quietly fixes a common problem.
2. Rubber Feet
This one is tiny and honestly should have been there a long time ago.
We added rubber feet to the bottom of our lamps to help them stay put. If you have ever tugged the cord and watched your lamp slide a bit, you know why this matters.
The rubber feet:
Help keep the lamp from sliding
Protect your furniture surface
Make the lamp feel a bit more solid and “planted”
You might not notice them right away, but you will notice that your lamp does not drift around as much.
3. The Bulb That Finally Felt Right
This was the hardest one.
We tested close to a hundred bulbs to find the one that actually feels good to live with, not just “looks fine.”
We were looking for:
A warm, cozy color that works in bedrooms and living rooms
A smooth dimming range from bright enough to read, to low enough for late nights
No flickering that strains your eyes or feels weird over time
Getting all of that to work well with our dimmer and our shades took a lot of trial and error, but the end result is simple: you turn it on and it just feels right.
Why This Stuff Matters
None of these changes are big “headline” features. They are the kind of details you only notice when you live with something every day.
Your furniture sits right where you want it
Your lamp stays in place
Your light feels calm and comfortable at every brightness
That is what we want Terra Labs lamps to be like in your home: easy, comfortable, and not something you have to think about.
If you have sent us feedback, thank you. You directly helped shape these updates. And if you ever have another small idea or gripe, we are listening.
